A Second Beach Trip

With its vast stretch of sand and ocean, East
beach, the beach we went to last Thursday is completely different from the
Stony Beach. It is true that the latter does have sand with people lying on it and
some people swimming in the sea, but it can never match the former in the
natural way the sand goes on and on. Before we come to the sea, we have to
cross quite an expansion of sand where some bushes or low trees stand. So the beach
extends long and wide No cruise, no boat. Only the sand and vast sea and the seagulls flying
here and there. I really love it.
Another thing I enjoy is we did throw away our
shoes and stood in the water of the sea. Instead of enjoying the view on the
cruise, I experienced something about sea for the first

time. The soft, gentle
feeling when I walked barefooted on the sand, the openness of the sea extending
to horizon made me excited. I could not
help throwing away my umbrella, which served as sunshade and I could not help
shouting with joy. The small tide that
came pushed some seaweed or sea-tangle to me. I picked up one or two pieces
while they were floating in the water. It is really amazing. It was as if I had
returned to childhood. “My heart leaps/ when I see the rainbow in the sky. “
Maybe I have to change it to “My heart leaps /when I see the sea under the blue
sky. “
